Clinical Study on Psoriasis Patients

Abstract
So far today the blood serum chemistry of psoriasis patients was studied a good many ways without lipid phosphorus, electrophoretic analysis of protein and ratio, total cholesterol: lipid phosphorus. And no reports are published with it in Korea unfortunately.
Author has studied the blood serum chemistry especially total protein, electrophoretic analysis of protein, nonprotein nitrogen, uric acid, blood sugar, total cholesterol, lipid phosphorus, ratio, total cholesterol: lipid phosphorus, calcium and chloride in 24( S 12, 9 12) cases with severe clinical symptoms. The results were obtained as follows;
1. Total protein and electrophoretic analysis:
1) The amount of total protein unchanged.
2) Albumin decreased markedly.
3) al-globulin, P-globulin and 1"-globulin increased markedly.
4) a2-globulin increased slightly.
5) A/G ratio decreased remarkably.
All of the above patterns were compared with normal rate.
2. Nonprotein nitrogen and uric acid:
1) Non protein nitrogen increased markedly in 22 cases without 2 cases.
2) Uric acid increased also markedly in 20 cases without 4 cases.
3. Blood sugar:
It was almost unchanged in 12 cases, decreased slightly in 10 cases and increased slightly in 2 cases.
4. Total cholesterol, lipid phosphorus and ratio, total cholesterol : lipid phosphorus :
1) Total cholesterol increased very slighly in every case.
2) Lipid phosphorus decreased moderately in 23 cases without 1 case.
3) Ratio, C/L increased moderately in 23 cases without 1 case.
5. Calcium and chloride:
1) Calcium was almost unchanged to normal value.
2) Chloride increased slightly in every case.
